Muslim Brotherhood Deception In Translation

The English and Arabic websites for the Muslim Brotherhood show one message for the English speakers and another message for the Arabic speakers. In English, the MB is all about “Freedom and Justice” (See:  http://www.ikhwanweb.com/article.php?id=29390) You will be hard-pressed to find the MB logo there.  On Arabic websites, however, you will usually find the MB logo of crossed swords.  Freedom for the MB is really freedom from man-made laws in favor of Allah’s laws, i.e., Sharia Law.  Justice means the implementation of Sharia Law which places Muslims in a superior position to non-Muslims and men superior to women.

The Arabic words surrounding the crossed swords are significant. Here is graphic of the MB logo:

The white Arabic script which is sometimes in the logo simply says:

The word with those crossed swords is not “Freedom.” Rather, it is in modern standard Arabic:

وأعدوا   or   وَأَعِدُّواْ   with the vowel symbols from Quranic Arabic.

In English this means “And prepared” or “Prepare” or “Make Preparation” or “Make Ready” or “And Make Ready.” Such expressions almost sound like the Boy Scouts’ motto, “Be Prepared.”  However, the words are actually the first words to an important verse in Surah 8 in the Quran:

“(8:60) Make ready for an encounter against them all the forces and well-readied horses you can muster that you may overawe the enemies of Allah and your own enemies and others besides them of whom you are unaware but of whom Allah is aware. Whatever you may spend in the cause of Allah shall be fully repaid to you, and you shall not be wronged.”

(Remember, to see the matching words in the Arabic script, read from right to left, top to bottom.)

There you have it: the velvet glove with the word “Freedom”; the crossed swords with the words “Make Ready” with its well-known Quranic militant reference.  That’s the Muslim Brotherhood.

It is not Western “freedom” that they intend to bring to Egypt – or to anywhere else.  This is evidenced by the Muslim Brotherhood’s new Arabic website (http://www.ikhwanonline.com/new/Default.aspxhttp://www.ikhwanonline.com/new/Default.aspx), which announces Muhammad Morsi’s  presidential victory in Egypt with a new logo:
